What is "financial wellness"...
and why is it so important?

When we think of the word wellness, we often don’t associate it with money or finances.  We might associate it with mental health, diet, exercise, or a even spa day. However, money is a huge contributor to our well-being including our mental health! It can cause a huge amount of stress and anxiety. In fact, according to a Fidelty Investments report, 93% of women feel stressed about money regardless of income. However, being financially secure and in control of your money brings freedom, power and peace of mind. I like to describe financial wellness as the state of achieving balance and security in your financial life, using a holistic approach to align financial choices with personal values and life goals.

About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah! My passion is to help women gain control of their money and increase their power and choices, through financial education. I spent 18 years in the corporate world in finance as an executive at some of the world’s largest organizations, including a Hollywood film studio. I love numbers, they tell me a story.

I grew up in England in a tiny village of 400 people, and after graduating college and working as a chartered accountant for a few years, I made my way to Los Angeles to work in finance in the entertainment industry. I was extremely shy and introverted when I first started out in my career, but over time, I grew in confidence and progressed in my career to become an executive.

In addition to being a finance professional, I created a system to gain control over my own personal finances and build wealth. Early on in my career, I was not in control of my money. Through my money management system and changing my habits, I got out of debt and have since built a 7-figure net worth.

My most important job is that I’m a mama to a 4 year-old daughter and my wish for her is that she grows up in a world where women have more equity, money and power. My hope is that through providing educational content for women, and helping them to gain confidence in managing their money, I can impact current and future generations of women and their status in the world.
